從一棵樹開始的策展

把策展帶進大稻埕的選物空間，以「向陽」與「向陽之外」串起 11 位藝術家不同的媒材與創作語言。作品保有各自的樣子，也在一樓與地下室之間彼此呼應。
從策展概念、作品配置到空間設計，這棵樹也慢慢在吉光拾物裡長出了自己的形狀。

A Curating from a Tree

Bringing curatorial practice into a select shop in Dadaocheng, the exhibition brings together 11 artists working across different media and creative languages through the ideas of growing towards the light and taking root beyond it. Each artwork retains its own distinct qualities, while also entering into dialogue with others across the ground floor and basement.

From the curatorial concept and placement of works to the spatial design, the image of a tree gradually took shape within jiguang precious.

植物循著光生長，也在光照不到的地方扎根。
向上伸展的枝葉追逐日照，藏入土壤的根系則在暗處汲取養分，承受環境的變化，等待下一次生長。
展覽從一樓如樹冠般的「向陽」，逐漸走入地下一樓的「向陽之外」。十一位創作者循著植物的生長、適應與循環，帶我們看見生命面對環境時，各自找到的生存方式。
有些生命朝向光，有些生命從暗處開始。

Plants grow towards the light, while also taking root where light cannot reach. Branches and leaves stretch upwards in search of sunlight, while roots hidden beneath the soil draw nourishment from the dark, respond to changes in their surroundings, and wait for the next cycle of growth.

The exhibition moves from the ground floor, imagined as the canopy of a tree reaching towards the light, down to the basement, where the focus shifts to what grows beyond the reach of sunlight. Through the growth, adaptation and cycles of plants, eleven artists invite us to consider the different ways living things find their own means of survival in response to their surroundings.

Some lives grow towards the light; others begin in the dark.

01｜策展概念

植物循著光生長，也在光照不到的地方扎根。
一樓與地下室之間，構成一棵在空間中垂直生長的樹。

Plants grow towards the light, while taking root where light cannot reach.
Together, the two floors form a tree growing vertically through the space.

02｜一樓・樹冠

一樓是向陽的樹冠。作品在光線裡展開，像枝葉一樣向外生長。

The ground floor becomes the sunlit canopy, where works unfold in the light like spreading branches and leaves.

03｜樓梯・樹洞

穿過紙張揉成的樹洞，慢慢走進地下的根系世界。

Through a tree hollow shaped from crumpled paper, the path slowly descends into the world of roots below.

04｜地下室・樹根

往地下走，來到光照不到的所在。根向下扎進土裡，也帶出植物生長中較少被看見的一面。

Downstairs, beyond the reach of light, roots reach into the earth, revealing the less visible side of growth.

05｜從染色、器物、雕刻、植物創作到空間介入，不同創作方式在樹冠與樹根之間展開。

Across canopy and roots, practices ranging from dyeing and objects to carving, botanical art and spatial interventions unfold throughout the exhibition.

07｜以植物詩籤串起觀展體驗，讓作品與觀眾多了一種相遇的方式。

Plant fortune slips weave through the viewing experience, creating another way for visitors to encounter the works.

08｜11 位創作者，各自對植物與日常有著獨特的詮釋。策展的本質是在概念與空間之間，讓不同的創作彼此呼應，凝聚成一場展覽。

Eleven creators each bring a distinct perspective on plants and everyday life. Curating brings these different practices into dialogue through concept and space, shaping them into a cohesive exhibition.
