Over the past months in Leeds, one thing that’s really struck me is how alive the city is with art—exhibitions, workshops, unexpected installations in cafes or bookshops… something’s always happening. These spaces come in many forms: hybrid venues that double as galleries and bookstores, artist-run studios full of raw experimentation, or community hubs where art grows directly from everyday life.A while ago, I was looking for places where I could put on an exhibition and accidentally ended up on a bit of a side quest, I thought: why not put all this together so that anyone new to Leeds could explore the city and its art scene more easily? So I wrote a Medium piece, made a map, and printed a little tabloid—a small guide for future wanderers.
